Alli Coupon Details

Alli, also known by its generic name, orlistat, is a weight loss pill designed to help users lose weight, when used in combination with a low fat diet. Alli works by blocking the body’s absorption of fat and is the first over the counter weight loss pill to be approved by the FDA.

When taking this drug, users will not absorb 25% of the fat they consume. This will help them lose weight faster, without restricting their diet as severely. In fact, the makers of Alli state that their product will help users lose weight about 50% faster, than with dieting alone.

Usage Instructions:

Alli is available in capsule form and may be taken up to three times a day by users 18 or older. During a meal, a user will take one capsule to block a portion of the fat contained in their meal from being absorbed by the body. If a user forgets to take the capsule, they may take it up to one hour after their meal.

If a user is consuming a meal that is very low in fat or does not contain fat, they may skip their dosage. Unless a meal contains a fair amount of fat, the drug will be ineffective. However, it is important for users to avoid consuming more than 14 grams of fat per meal. If more fat is consumed, the user may begin to suffer unwanted side effects. Fortunately, since dieters must limit their fat intake to 14 grams or less per meal, they will be more likely to consume a low fat diet and lose weight.

While taking Alli, a user’s doctor may suggest that they begin taking a multivitamin. This is because Alli may inhibit the absorption of fat soluble vitamins, including vitamins A, E, D, and K. Before beginning a weight loss plan that includes this drug, users may want to consult their physician for proper dosage and nutrition instructions, in order to make sure that the diet is safe for them.

Side Effects:

Like with other weight loss drugs, there are a few possible side effects of taking Alli. Users that take this drug while consuming a high fat meal may experience stomach pains, diarrhea, oily spotting, oily stools, gas, nausea, vomiting, and/or loose stools. Because these side effects are so unpleasant, many users are further encouraged to stick to a low fat diet, therefore furthering their weight loss.
