How does Caduet work?
For high blood pressure, Caduet functions as a calcium channel blocker. It lowers the rate at which calcium enters the blood vessels and heart. Heart palpitations and rapid heartbeat are possible. As a result of low blood pressure, fainting as and lightheadedness sometimes occur. Some patients have had difficulty passing urine. Chest pain or an irregularly beating heart should be immediately reported to a doctor and medication should be discontinued.

In rare instances, Caduet can cause muscle tissues to break down, which can result in kidney failure. The most severe side effects include the aforementioned as well as depression, memory and hearing loss, vomiting, ulcers, asthma, or sexual side effects.
